Oh my goodness, it has been way too long since I've posted anything. I guess I've been going through some challenging times and because of that I don't always feel like writing. With God's help, I know everything will work out wonderfully. I will stay focused on Him and His will.

One of the things I've always loved doing is sewing. It started when I was in high school & had to take Home Ec. For those of you who are too young to know what Home Ec is, back then girls took Home Ec to learn how to cook, sew, take care of a baby (some of my friends really took that one to heart), not sure if cleaning was part of the curriculum, but the main focus was how to do "womanly" things. The boys took Shop & learned how to use tools, work on cars & I don't know what else, "manly" things. Sort of sexist, don't ya think?

For some reason I got out of doing it, I don't really remember why. I am getting back into it though. I recently took a machine quilting class. I've completed the practice session & am going to do the actual project next.  When I get it finished I'll post a picture of it.  I took a beginning quilting class about 15 years ago. I never quite finished that quilt so I have that one to finish as well. It just needs a few seems sewn together & the binding put on.  Then I took another class for a "round the world" quilt, I finished the top, but never put it together with a back & quilted. That was the main reason I took the machine quilting class. The beginning class was all done by hand & it would take way too long to hand quilt it. It probably wouldn't have taken 15 years, but go figure.  I have so many unfinished projects of various types of crafts that I will be busy until Kingdom Come, as my mom used to say. Little did she know how right she was.

I pray everyone has a safe & Happy Thanksgiving. I will go to my sister's, but first have to drive about 50 miles to pick up my aunt. She is sort of a challenge, because she has dementia & has anger issues. That is a whole other blog topic in itself.

Take care & God bless.
Rhonda
